An investigation into the mythology behind scars and their symbolism as manifestations of trauma. After asking people to recount the stories behind their scars, I juxtaposed multiple narratives and visuals that both augmented and contradicted one another. In doing so, the superficial facts of the injury become confused, mirroring scars' deceptive potential to distort the truth through glorification or understatement.
